What a Standard Window Cleaning Misses on Utah County Hard Water

A standard window cleaning usually stops at the surface. Hard water removal is often left out or quoted as an extra. Here’s what I do instead. First, a pure water rinse top to bottom, including the edges and seals, where a lot of dirt hides. Then soap, a short soak, and a full scrub. I rinse and check. If hard water is still there, I go in with a window scraper. If it’s deeper than that, ultra-fine 0000 steel wool. I rinse after every step, and I don’t leave until the glass looks like it was just installed.
