I’m Jac, the craftsman behind My Hearthside. This page is where I get to tell you who I am and why this work matters to me, instead of just what I do.

Who I Am

I’m a single dad here in Utah County, and this business is how I provide for my son. I got started in 2023 running The Christmas Peddler, installing Christmas lights for families who wanted something better than a store-bought strand. In 2026 I expanded into My Hearthside to bring that same care to window washing, gutter cleaning, and solar panel cleaning year-round.

Before any of this, I served a two-year LDS mission, where I spent two years learning how to actually talk to people, listen to what they need, and earn trust door by door. That training shows up in how I run this business today. I’m not a stranger from an app showing up in a branded van. I’m someone from your own community, and I treat every home like I’d want mine treated.

Why My Hearthside Exists

My Hearthside exists because I believe a home should feel like a refuge, not another item on your to-do list. Every window I wash, every gutter I clear, every panel I rinse, and every string of lights I hang is in service of one simple idea: your home should be the one place that recharges you, not drains you. When your home is taken care of, you get to spend your time and energy on what actually matters, your family.

Most of my customers start with one service and end up calling me back every season, windows in the spring, gutters in the fall, lights for the holidays. Once you find someone you trust with your home, there’s no reason to keep looking.

How I Work

Getting started is simple. Reach out with what you need, I’ll get you a straightforward quote, usually the same day, and we’ll find a time that works for your schedule. From there, I show up, do the work right, and treat your home the way I’d treat my own. Once the job’s done, most families just call me back next season instead of starting the search over.
