What’s the difference between C9, E15, and mini lights?
C9 and E15 are the larger bulb bases used for rooflines and gutters, they’re built to be seen from the street and hold up to the elements. Mini lights are the small string-style lights, and I only use those for wrapping columns and live trees, never on a roofline or gutter edge.
Can hanging Christmas lights damage my roof?
It can, if it’s done the wrong way. Nailing or stapling lights directly into shingles can puncture the roof and lead to leaks down the road. I hook and clip lights along the fascia or roof edge instead, nothing gets nailed or stapled into your roof.
Are LED Christmas lights actually better than the old incandescent kind?
They really are. LEDs use a fraction of the power, run cooler to the touch, and hold up far longer than incandescent bulbs. All the lights I install are LED, including the ones styled to look like classic warm incandescent bulbs.

What happens if a strand of lights goes out partway through the season?
I come fix it. If a strand goes dark during the season, I repair it at no extra charge, that’s part of what you’re getting, not a separate call-out fee.
