I am The Christmas Peddler, and the porch is where Christmas begins. It is the first thing your family and your guests see, so I dress it as one finished picture: lit columns, garland around the windows and door, a wreath, a glowing tree by the door, and a warm line of lights overhead.
What Is a Christmas Porch Setup?
It is the whole front porch designed together instead of piece by piece. I look at your columns, your windows, your door, and your roofline, and I plan one look that fits your home. Then I install it, keep it up all season, take it down in January, and store it for you.
What Can Go on a Porch?
- Mini lights wrapped around porch columns
- Garland framing the windows and the front door
- A wreath on the door
- A lit tree, or custom-wrapped trees flanking the door
- C9 or E15 LED lights along the roofline, in color or warm white
- A table centerpiece, stockings, or a nativity, sourced to your request
Why Start With the Porch?
Because it is where your family comes home and where your guests arrive. A porch done well makes the whole house feel ready for Christmas, even if you never touch the roofline. It is also a gentle way to begin, and the rest of the house can follow next season.
How Does It Work?
- You tell me what you can picture. Colors, garland, trees, a wreath, whatever you imagine for your porch.
- I quote it in person. The price is written down before you agree to anything.
- I install it. Safe roof access and careful, tidy work, so you never touch a ladder.
- I keep it glowing. Repairs through the season are part of the price.
- I take it down in January and store it in my own storage.

Questions People Ask Me
What is a Christmas porch setup?
It is a front porch dressed for Christmas as one finished picture: lit columns, garland around the windows and door, a wreath, a lit tree beside the door, and a warm roofline above it all. I design it around your actual porch and install it, then take it down and store it in January.
What goes into a Christmas porch setup?
Common pieces are mini lights wrapped around the porch columns, garland framing the windows and the front door, a wreath, a lit tree or custom-wrapped trees flanking the door, and C9 or E15 LED lights along the roofline. You can add a centerpiece for a porch table. Since I source decor to your request, you tell me what you can picture and I bring it.
Which lights go on the columns?
Genuine high-grade mini lights, wrapped neatly around each column. Rooflines and eaves always get C9 or E15 LED bulbs, and the mini lights are saved for columns, trees, and bushes.
Can I get a porch setup without the full roofline?
Yes. Many Utah County homeowners start with the porch, since it is the part guests see first. Ask me for a quote and we can add the roofline now or later.
Can my porch be part of a Seasonal Collection?
Yes. Your porch can carry Halloween colors, game day colors, or Easter pastels first, and then finish with Christmas. See the Seasonal Collections page for how the bulb switches work.
Do I have to take it down and store it?
No. Your price covers installation, repairs, takedown, and storage in my own storage. The decor stays in my care between seasons, so there is nothing for you to store or sort.
What does a porch setup cost?
It depends on the size of your porch and the pieces you choose, so I quote in person with the price written down before you agree to anything.
Do you serve my city?
I serve Utah County and communities within about a half hour of Salem, including Lehi, Saratoga Springs, American Fork, Eagle Mountain, Spanish Fork, Payson, and Nephi.
